| Caleb Leachman, son of Ron and Suzanne Campbell and Daryl Leachman of
Needville, Texas, is the 2016-2017 recipient of the $2,000 Fort Bend Medical
Society scholarship.
He graduated in 2016 from Needville
High School where he was actively involved in many school activities including being
an outstanding player on the school’s football team, as well as a vast array of
community service programs. Along with
the FBMS scholarship, Caleb also received The Academic Excellence and Cullen
Leadership scholarships from The University of Houston along with several
other local awards and scholarships.
He has three other older
siblings who are also attending college; therefore, Caleb has worked throughout
his high school years to assist his family with this financial burden while
graduating in the top 10% of his class and scoring in the top 80% on his
SAT.
Caleb is majoring in
Biology at The University of Houston and plans on pursuing a medical career in
pediatric surgery.
